Self-Improvement About Making Decisions

Watch this video. It's an 'old' one but you'll
gain good value from it. Then read the text below.

*NOTE: If the video load slow, watch it at Google Video by
clicking Self-Improvement - About Making Decisions. It'll
load faster with a bigger picture.

Don't read this if you did not watch the video
above yet because the lessons are taught there.

Maybe the video is more focused on being
a good citizen.

Maybe it's about moral.

Maybe it's about parenthood. I can't tell
what you want to define it as it is.

But that's not the point because there are
so many 'hidden' success lessons there.

The first one is...

Making decision in your life.

The part that most people get mixed up is
making decisions to achieve success.

Here's a blunt fact --

You'll sure to fail in certain areas throughout
your journey of achieving success. If you
did not, that means you're not doing it
at all. You might be trying, but not doing it.

If you failed, that's fine and I highly encourage
you to experience that for BETTER SUCCESS
in the future.

I'm sure you will.

But don't do stupid things. If it's wrong,
don't do it. Like that boy stealing a car. He knows
it's WRONG but he's doing that because he
wants to be 'successful'.

If you know that it's wrong by stepping on your
colleagues head to get promoted, don't do it.

If you know that cheating your business partner
to make more money in wrong, don't do it.

I'm not asking you to be a goodie-goodie person,
although you should.

I'm just asking you to do the right thing to
be successful in whatever you're trying
to achieve. It could be winning a girl's heart
or trying to secure a million dollar deal.

Making decision can be tough sometimes.

Even a simple decision like what you want
to eat for dinner can be tough!

And the only way for you to overcome this is to…

PRACTICE.

The more decisions you make, the better you are
at your analytical skill.

Start making decisions today.

Take lead and gain your supremacy.

Don't let other people decide for you what's
best in your life. It's 'nice' to be lazy but you'll
just be doing a disfavor for yourself because
each time someone makes a decision for you,
you have just lose a chance to "step up".

Now, it's hard to give advice when you're
reading from text. Making decision does not
means of becoming a crazy autocratic person
and start dominating other people.

It's about being in power for your own growth.

A sense of power will give you more
self-confidence to achieve success in life.

Making decisions make you a leader.

In fact, a strong one.

I think all of the entrepreneurs I knew
are leaders. They are able to lead themselves
to success in spite the obstacles they face.

Leadership comes from within. I can't
talk about leadership in this post because
it's a whole new, big topic to be taught.

But basically the more accurate good
decisions you're able to make, it'll definitely
lead you to be a better leader one day.

One more thing to add about leadership –
Leaders are not born. They’re 'cultivated'.

That's about making decision.

The next thing I want you to understand is...

The reason why you're rich or poor today
Have to do a lot with THE PEOPLE you hang
out with and THE ENVIROMENT you’re in.

Self-explanatory.

"If you hang around dogs, you'll catch fleas."

There. You know what I mean.

So what you should be doing now?

First thing – Start making more decisions
in your life. You don't have to make big decisions
if you're not comfy yet. Start with those small
ones like what to eat, what clothes to wear,
what tv channels to watch, when to eat, etc.

The next thing you should do is avoid
getting 'fleas'.

If you like what you watch in the video
And what you read here, please post your
comment? I’ll appreciate that.

I'm sorry, you just can't try.

"Either you do or you don't. There's
no such thing as try." Yoda Master

If you have watched Star Wars before,
you'll know who's Yoda Master (Picture below).
He's one of the highest Jedi Masters.

When I was given a task to complete
during my job employment days, I'll say,

"I'll try, boss."

You can't try.

Mt friend, there's no such thing as try.

It's either you do it or, not.

That's it.

Let's examine...

Ok, try to read this blog now.

Nope.

You didn't try.

Why not you try harder?

Ok, let's try to do it again.

Try reading.

Sorry, you failed again.

You're reading. You're not trying to
read. You're DOING IT.

Or you don't.

But in this case, you are otherwise
you won’t be reading this sentence.

Many people try to be wealthy.

Many people try to be happy.

Many people try to be more loving.

Many people try to achieve their goal.

Many people just... TRY.

I'm going to sound harsh...

FORGET ABOUT TRYING!

Here's a simple action plan for you:

Step #1 – Evaluate your options available.

Step #2 – Make a strong decision whether
you want to do it or not.

Step #3 – Do it. (Or don't)

Step #4 – See and evaluate the outcome.

Step #5 – Learn from your action.

The steps above that I've laid out for you, worth
thousands of dollars. Just follow that action plan
and you'll see how much more you'll accomplish in life.

So if you want to change, CHANGE.

Don't try to change. That's sissy talking.
Do it for your own future.

Bruce Lee once said,

"Life is never stagnation. It is a constant
movement, unrhythmic movement, as well
as constant change. Things live by moving
and gain strength as they go."

Prepare to change. I've changed the way how
to manage a business. If I was still doing it the way
I use to do 5 years ago, I think I'll be broke and
don't even know what happened.

If I'm treating my new girlfriend how I used
to treat my previous ex-girlfriend, I think we
would have broke up from now.

But if you can't do it on your own, here's
how to do it... Go to:

http://www.esuccessmastery.com/change/

In 6 hours, you'll be a totally changed person
for success.

You can be happy instantly

I always like to write this kind of stuff on the
weekends as a reflection to our 'busy' life.

A simple life is a happy life.

Don't get me wrong – I'm not asking you to
settle for less.

A simple life is more than just living on
a small salary. You can be a millionaire and
yet live simply, free from common worries.

You can be the president of a big and
competitive company yet live in complete
simplicity. You can be a dogged salesperson
targeting high sales quotas and still live simply.

A simple life is abandoning most unnecessary
vanities. It means you will have to give up
some things in life that you really do not
need. A favorite smart term in business today
is "prioritizing." Abandoning is more than
just prioritizing. Abandoning is like disposing
of garbage because you do not need them.

You do not include your garbage in your priority
list — you throw them away for good.

As long as you have a purpose, a simple life is
a meaningful life.

You'll have your own goal -- not a goal
set by others for you. You see, you're thriving
to achieve what you want, but not what have
been set for you to achieve.

In our so-called busy days, we have
forgotten how simple "simple" really is.

One key to happiness is being downright simple.
That's it. Simplicity is often times so profound
to other people that they do not believe it
unless someone complicates it for them because
it's hard to accept simplicity with...

The Never-Ending Race

Somewhere in the silly rat race between you
and your colleague or neighbors, you find
yourself in the middle of mountains of
pressures which isn't necessary at all.

People purchase expensive things or do
'weird things' because these make them
the centers of attraction. These things get
better everyday because of competition. And
that's bad news if you wasn't to keep up.
The good news is, you don't need to be
influenced with any of these because you have
YOUR OWN GOAL AND PURPOSE!

The pressure given by others to you is
actually unreal. It's how you have defined
them to be. For instance, I have friends who
makes 10x my income. But then again, I have
friends who make just 10% of my income.

So really, who's successful?

Depends on your own benchmark.

There is real pressure to be more 'successful'
if you're working in a company but then again,
what's your purpose? Will being promoted in
your company going to help you achieve your goal?
And how does that applies?

You have to think for yourself to be happy. But
being simple can never goes wrong if that's
what you're trying to achieve – Happiness.

There are a few ways to have a simple
life that can ensure happiness.

Eliminate Self-Importance

Self-importance is the basic culprit or cause of
vanity. Vanity is craving more than what meets
your DESIRE. It entails selfishness and
self-centeredness when we're blinded with vanity.
It is mere egoism. It is mostly doing something
to prove a point or to prove your self - to
feed the ego. As long as you're out to
prove something, you're susceptible to pressure.
Proving something means you are competing —
with who is better or has something better.

*Note: Because this is a short article, you must
be able to distinguish what is vanity and a
burning desire to be successful yourself.

Don't Be A Perfectionist -- It never pays off

Being a perfectionist sounds good a reputation
to earn, but it is actually just an ego booster
trying to prove that you are the best. It only makes
distress an everyday meal for you. Some would
insist that being a perfectionist is a good attitude
to have, to make sure that your work quality
is always top of the line. But if you're being a
perfectionist just to earn admiration, you are
locked into the trap of self-importance. The worst
part is, you can't 'see' it.

Strive to be perfect by all means, but only in
character, especially on how to become more
loving, forgiving, patient, understanding, meek,
and simple. Do not be a perfectionist — trying to
perfect your accomplishments to prove your worth
because this will lead to more frustration in life.

Trying to improve your stand, YES you must.
Trying to PERFECT your standard to prove
your capability, DON'T.

Perfectionists live a life of distress due to
frustrations and undue pressure. They easily get
angry when some details are ignored.

LOVE EVERYTHING.

When you focus on love as the rule of your life,
everything becomes simple. It becomes very
easy for you to let go, to forgive and forget.
Nothing in this life is as important as character.

People living simple lives often have enough
quality time to meditate on life and realize
that this philosophy is true: That there is nothing
more important and sublime than to love.

The adage goes that love conquers all and
never dies.

Simple people who have mastered loving
people will simply let go and think positively.
They give everybody a chance to try better
next time. They're more forgiving. The way
they conquer is to always find something positive
in everything, thwart unnecessary distress, and
free everybody of pressure.

I mean if you're choosing between hate or love,
which one would you choose?

So why not start loving now.

Afraid of making money

I believe one of the obstacles that keep people
from succeeding is one very basic fear:

The fear of making big money.

Not just fear of making money... but the
big moolah.

If you don't think that is a fear that is stopping
you then you analyze those rich people closely.

Some of them feared making money because
their parents were not high earners. If they
made more money than their Father, they
reasoned, what kind of son or daughter
would they be?

Sounds crazy but this is not what we want
but what this is what our sub-conscious mind is
reminding us.

Others fear that making big money would
'change' them somehow and they would not
be the same person anymore- the same person
that people know, love and care for.

True story:

I have a friend whose friends are no longer
close to her anymore because she has
grown to be more successful than them. She
has become a 'bigger' person now.

They start to pick on her like...

"She thinks she's the only person busy
with her work."

The truth is... she is BUSY with her work
and building a strong financial support but
her friends don't have that kind of
being busy privilege.

And they'll look for her weaknesses to find
chances to pick on her.

Are her friends bad? Not really. They're just
reacting towards 'change'. Instead of responding,
they're reacting.

They'll feel...

"She's not the same person anymore."

Yes, she chanced to be better and wiser.

So if she changes to be more successful, she'll
fear that her friends might not like her they
way they used to.

That's just one example.

The fear of making big money is REAL. It's
in your mind and the only thing that is
moving you is YOUR MIND.

However, you may not believe you are influenced
by this fear because it sounds really silly.

But think about it for a minute.

Maybe what you really fear is 'change'... and
if you made big money it would change you
and your life.

That is why most lottery 'millionaires' end up
spending or losing most of their winnings a year
or so after they've won... they seek 'normal'
lives again where nothing ever changes.

It's not hard to make big money... the hard part
is giving yourself permission to make it
and keep it.

Yes, I said give yourself PERMISSION to
start making big money.

The game of becoming rich is an internal one...
just like golf, or becoming an Olympic athlete. The
problem is inside us... lack of confidence and
self-esteem are the enemies.

Don't let fear of making money stop you. Start
believing in yourself, check your self-esteem and
make a wise informed and profitable choice
for your future.

One of the way to solve this is by using...
an anchor.

Imagine having the power to do a very
simple act and you'll instantly be able to
change your thoughts and eliminate that fear
of making money. Sounds exciting, isn't it?

This is probably the most powerful technique
to help you change your emotions.

Let's say you want to experience 'success'.

Go to a quiet room. Reflect on a time when
you had a very successful experience. It can
be when you get number #1 in any competition.

It can be an experience when you beat
Your competitors to be a winner.

It could even be when your wife agreed
to marry you!

Now focus in reliving that successful experience.

Engage yourself thoroughly on that fantastic feeling.

See the yourself when you have achieve success,
hear the claps and cheers, smell the odor, and
feel everything else going on around you as
you’re feeling this way.

Then create an anchor. You can slightly slap
your face, shake your hands in exhilaration,
squeeze your thumb and middle finger together,
twirl your head, or just do anything you can think
of, as long as it's something that creates
intensity within you.

After around a minute or two, let go of the anchor
while still engrossed in that state. Wait for a
few seconds before breaking out of that state.

The more passionate or lively the experience,
the better anchor you will create.

You can use any of the anchors below depending
on your situation and preference. You may
even invent one or two of your own.

1. Clench your fists.
2. Stroke your hair, chin, nose, or eyebrow.
3. Press two fingers together.
4. Whistle a tune.
5. Rub your hands.
6. Shake your legs.
7. Shout a lively word, such as "power" or "super!"
8. Pat yourself at the back.
