But I Persevere.
I nearly quit. My brain keeps on saying,
"There's just too much work I need to do to complete this".
I'm actually developing a brand new personal achievement program to be shared with people all around the world-- for free. It's been a lot of work and it's supposed to be completed this month but it'll be delayed, again. It was tiring.
But I persevere. And it makes me realize...
Like the great majority of attitude of success which demands a constant effort of will, perseverance is rarely a natural gift. You're not born with it.
It was hard to "own" this.
It may happen, however, some people practice the attitude of perseverance. But they will not make use of this quality with any fruitful results unless they know how
to employ it in a rational manner, naturally.
It is a good thing to educate and exercise our minds by the practice of will-power and self control which unite to form the pillar on perseverance.
One of the principal foes of perseverance is the need of dreaming accurately which so many people find it hard to practice consciously.
Vague dreaming is the enemy of perseverance-- to the extent that it blinds us for the moment to our main objective by substituting for differing goals.
It is the mother of variability for it leads our minds along all sorts of different roads and causes us continually to accept and to reject opposing resolutions.
To know how to think is one of the most favorable conditions for conquering the art of perseverance, although I'm still learning it.
You see, it is by means of thought that we are enable to apply and to utilize the gifted energy that is within us. It is powerful in it's own way and able to attract possibility to our wills. It is also by its help that we can free our mind from useless and idle impulses.
It is by thinking in a reasonable and constructive way that we are able to draw reliable decisions from the experience we're experiencing.
One obstacle that was blocking me to persevere is impatience provoked by the delays of completion or similar annoyances.
I should learn to be silent internally instead of letting my thoughts out in a situation of annoyance.
You see, each time you let frustration, annoyance or impatience to win over you, you'll develop negative association to your goal. It's no point to persevere anymore if there are too much negative energy in you. Perseverance will then be a 'pain' and you want to avoid it as badly as possible because each time you persevere, you need to have an internal conflict in your mind that will self-sabotage your own success.
In order to become persevering, you must absolute have strong belief in what you’re trying to achieve.
Philosophers claim that all possibilities exist from the moment that we admit the possibility of their existence. If you don't believe, you can't add possibility.
The obstacles will be overcome when we have firm conviction of succeeding implanted in our minds.
In whatever you're doing right now to achieve, I wish you all the best. I want to end a quote to stress the importance of having this attitude:
"I do not think there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature." John D. Rockefeller
